Canvas weave : what is it ? Canvas weaves are often associated with anoraks, an iconic, timeless piece worn by sailors.

This super sturdy cotton canvas has been used for several decades to make sails, tents, footwear and backpacks, which all need hardwearing fabric given their use. So sailors loved it, since they required truly hardwearing fabric in all circumstances.

Our other wovens are made of cotton, a natural, comfy, breathable fibre that you can easily wash at high temperatures, blended with elastane for freedom of movement in daily life.

Did you know that elastane fibre can stretch up to seven times its length and then spring back to the original length ? This is why it is highly popular among athletes and active people : unlimited elasticity, as well as high absorption capacity for quick-drying.

Moreover, the addition of elastane to our cotton weaves means that the fabric doesn’t crease, reducing the need for ironing. Since the fibres cannot be set, the garment loses any creases made when washing or sitting on it.

Hublot Mode Marine’s woven models are designed in the south-west of France. Our various models take shape in our design studio in Tarn, near Toulouse.

Cuts for our shorts, Bermuda shorts, skirts and trousers are worked on very carefully to provide comfort suitable for all types of morphology and for the whole family.

We select our yarn very carefully : a fine jersey, 160 grammes/sq.m for an instant sense of comfort.
